So cool -- I didn't know you can remove the molds when the concrete is still setting, so then you get the tapered edge without sanding. thank you so much for making this!! going to give it a go in my kitchen :)

Hi Tim! Thanks for your video. I have two contractors and they are giving difference price points. Both are using 100% solids epoxy. Contractor A: 2 coats of colored epoxy and then 2 coats of clear epoxy. Price: $5420 with coving. Contractor B: Initial Epoxy coating and then polyaspartic 80% solids urethane based. Price is $7280 with out coving. What am I missing here?

I love that look!! Is there a coarse texture to this product? I live in the Cascade mountains and my patio has a concrete stain and sealer on it that extremely slippery when it gets snow on it. Any advice on what I can do to lessen that problem?

they are both awesome. I think mat is a better finish for a garage. I would like the gloss finish in my kitchen /dinning room.

What an awsome video to explain the differences in products !!! Been thinking about tackling my own floor. I'm somewhat handy with a lot of things but the problem with making a completely smooth service without having a grinder with those high dollar diamond bits it won't look like yall did the floor. If u consider what it would cost to rent one and all the different items needed for prep it probably wouldn't take much more just to have a professional outfit do it.

Too bad that there’s no way really to apply both finishes in keeping with the marbleized look. Like the black areas behind shinier/wetter looking (“flowing”, “moving”). Maybe only sand and refinish certain parts and not the others (the chemicals). That would be incredible and totally fit this space’s aesthetic! But not possible I’m assuming.

The lesson i learned from my epoxy projects: the resin can’t keep up with the thermal expansion of metal. Idk if thats gonna be a problem here..

How soon are you stamping after pouring

Hi Tim. These overlay finishes look fantastic. We have a similar front porch slab (100 yr old) that I would like to do something similar. But we live in Western Pennsylvania & I've read/heard that cementitious overlays do not last in our freeze/thaw climate. This slab is covered from above and the sides but I'm still worried. Also, there is the snow and ice and salt. Any thoughts? Thanks
